American Pride revised vacation policy, 4/12/13

---All associates will earn 1 "personal" hour for every 60 hours worked. A full-time associate working 38 hours a week will earn approximately 6 weeks of personal time a year. Hours can be used for vacation, personal time, or to cover for illness. Salaried personnel will have 30 days added to their checks as of 7/1, hourly will have all hours divided by 60 added to their checks as of 7/1; minus what has been taken since 7/1/2006.

---Hours can be "banked" up to 360.

---After 5 years of service, full-time associates will have a 3 week "sabbatical" leave added to their check, must be taken within 3 years. PT associates will receive a 2 week sabbatical leave, which will be paid at their average amount of hours over the past 5 years. Additional leaves will be granted after 8 years, and every 3 years thereafter. Sabbaticals must be taken in increments of one week at a time, minimum (fine to take the entire sabbatical at once, that's the intention). Can be banked.--American Pride vacation and personal day policy since 2007

All FT associates will be receiving an additional 120 vacation hours on 5/25/13, as well as a monetary reward of $500, taxes to be paid by the company. We want our associates to be rested and enjoy the summer. While up to sixty of these hours can be "banked," we will strongly discourage it. We would prefer you take the time off to follow the pursuits you find enjoyable. While this is a one time "gift," it is being announced at the same time as the increase in personal day accumulation.

All PT associates (who have been with the company since 12/31/12 or before) will receive 60 personal hours and $250 net.

All PT associates hired since 1/1/13 will receive 30 personal hours and $125 net.

PT associates hired after this announcement, between 4/15/13 and 5/17/13 will not receive personal time, but will receive $100 on 5/25/13.

As of the end of May (depending on the calendar in your workplace), associates will earn one hour for every fifty hours worked. This means an associate working 38 hours a week will earn about 7.5 weeks of time off per calendar year, or about 38 personal days. These hours can be used for vacation, days off, or in case of personal or family illness. Salaried personnel will accumulate 0.75 personal days per week worked, or 1.5 days every other week (which is a single pay cycle).

Cost to company $65M, as well as ongoing expenses to cover vacations.
