Hooters Live Wausau grand opening going better than could have been expected. Every performance has been sold out. Lunch daily has been near capacity, last Saturday and Sunday lunch had a 75-90 minute wait much of the afternoon. Dinner has been at or over capacity nightly, last Friday and Saturday night had hour wait times. Pizza pickup, from 5-8PM, has been well above expectations, many orders of 6-10 pies. Repeat business already noticed, especially with pizza pickup and lunch.
Average lunch ticket, $7. Average dinner ticket, $11. Alcohol consumption, especially at lunch and happy hour, far higher than expected.
TV ads will continue after GO through 10/31 at minimum. Billboard coverage 90 miles in each direction, also on interstates headed north outside Milwaukee and Madison.
Many comments from both customers and on website that this is a "poor man's House of Blues." Not sure if it is meant as a compliment or not, but taking it that way.
Still working on setting "regular" prices. Will be finalized Thursday, will lean toward value, especially for lunch and happy hour.
