---AAA team in Madison, look to acquire existing team, land near I94, state o' the art 10K seat stadium, offer to UW for use. MIL and MAD would rarely play at home same day, same time. IL preferred to PCL.
UPDATE, 8/6...several teams are somewhat available. PCL would not be bad either, as 9 & 9:30 starts would allow many DH's with Crew.
---WI wood bat college league, $250K stadium improvement grant given for joining, aim for start date of 2007, 8-16 teams, also need a "feeder league"
UPDATE, 8/6...phone calls to most teams met with great excitement. Will proceed as planned, meeting early next year.
---add "Expect Victory" to Brewers' letterhead {DONE, 7/26/04}
---working agreement with a Mexican League team, supply 10-20 players, AA/AAA depth
---add a team in NYP or NWL, stock with mostly late round picks and undrafted free agents, also bridge gap from Helena to Beloit
---begin instructional league again, ASAP {DONE, 7/27/04}
---HTL grant, meet with league officials after season
---look into starting WI cable sports chanel when FSN deal expires, condensed games daily, ESPNews when no action
---work with UWM, online degree program for athlete, paid for by Crew
---add coaches at each level (4-5 per team)
---add custom bus/chartered planes at each level
---add scouts, crosscheckers, regional directors
---add "number crunchers"
---get new stadium in Beloit or look to move on

It is legal for a major league team to own a minor league team? Look into purchasing a AAA team (Ottawa?) and moving it to Madison. Need land in Madison, near I94, and a 10,000 seat state o' the art AAA stadium.

American Pride Cinemas (Nasdaq, APC), the largest second run chain in the world, is proud to announce that it plans to enter the first run market. We hope to bring our industry setting standards to new heights. Our plans include:
1. All of our multiplexes will have a minimum of 14 screens. Most will have between 24 and 32 screens.
2. All will have extra wide seats with cupholders.
3. All will feature stadium seating.
4. We will build and acquire, focusing on infrastructure (good roads, quick enter/exit, near interstate if posible), suburban growth, and easy to find.
5. We will feature the largest concession selection of any nationwide cinema chain.
6. Our service, cleanliness, and quality of projection equipment will be second to none.
The first-run part of our business will be named in a contest at American Pride Cinemas, and online at www.americanpridecinemas.com. APC has three 25 screen multiplexes already planned, one outside Hudson, WI; one outside Eau Claire, WI; and one outside Delavan, WI.
There are plans to include other shops in the complex. For example, all three of the original complexes will include a White Castle and a TCBY.
APC will not change its current policy of being a DEBT FREE company. Therefore, we will not have a set plan of growth, rather look for smart, prudent opportunity to grow through acquisition, as well as inexpensive land to build. Our current projections estimate that by the end of the current decade, the APC umbrella will include 1200-1500 of our current 2nd run cinemas, and 50-75 1st run cinemas.
Also, APC is currently studying the possibility of adding "sit down, eat, and watch a movie" complexes to its holdings. Often referred to as "cinema cafes", the profitability is being judged in a 2 year study, which will end in early 2005.

American Pride has been alerted that, due to our patriotic name and huge flag outside each of our theaters, we have been mentioned as a possible terorist target. We were notified of this by the office of Homeland Security in mid-June. While no specific threats have been received, we took this early warning very seriously. In the past two weeks, we have:
1. We looked into changing the name. This has been decided tabled for now, as our investors and staff spoke out loudly against any such change.
2. We have added concrete barriers to all theaters that did not have them, preventing an accidental or purposeful occurence of an automobile driving into our lobby.
3. We have added 24 hour outdoor security at all of our theaters, as well as increasing in-house security.
4. We have added outdoor lighting to the sides and rear of all of our theaters that did not have such lighting.
5. Effective today, all associates will be required to submit to an extensive background check. Any "poor risks" will not be hired.
