Update: All American Pride businesses will reopen at 10AM Thursday, 11/1, in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. All across the USA weekend specials (Thur-Sun) include:
American Pride Liberty--all movies, all shows, $1; all concessions 50% off...early shows Sat/Sun mornings to handle expected overflow crowds.
American Pride Freedom--all concessions 50% off, free pass given to all ticket buyers at theaters that were forced to close due to weather.
Night Owls--$1 admission, all food/drinks 50% off
White Castle--all menu items 50% off

Aggressively bumping up construction/acquisition plans for Hooters, Hooters Live, and all theater properties. We feel the time is right, as all businesses are profitable and running smoothly, with room for growth in the support structure.
While every area will be considered, the priority will be on population centers in the Northeast and California, as well as by universities, military bases, and growing areas. We have almost $3B in cash, and because of historical low interest rates, believe our best investment is in ourselves, to continue to be the finest customer service and leisure time company in the world.
Also, will open several "co-branded" locations, Hooters attached to a Liberty theater, for example; or a Hooters, TCBY, and Night Owl theater all sharing the same kitchen and parking. These will begin to open in the Spring, 2013, in the Twin Cities, MN and Dallas/Fort Worth, TX areas.

All American Pride properties in storm affected areas will close at 4PM Sunday, 10/28.
They will remain closed until at least Wednesday at 10AM. All associates scheduled to work during this closure will be paid their scheduled hours.
Security will be brought in from outside the region, if possible, to look after stores. DM's will make this decision on a case-by-case basis in consultation with RVP's.
No associate will be punished if they choose not to work Sunday or Wednesday. They will still be paid, will be paid double time if they do work. If they choose not to work, they should call in per normal procedures, and simply state they are choosing not to work due to the conditions.

All American Pride associates will be given $100 in their pay check to prep for storm. All FT and PT associates in the area where storm is scheduled to hit. AP will cover taxes.
